Always lovely atmosphere, with staff that are happy to just have a chit chat with you, instead of pushing for the hard sell. The items are all wonderful, and the service is great. I wish I lived next door!

Disappointed by the poor service at this store. Only 2 members of staff on duty for the whole shop and both were working on the tills to clear a line of only 3 or 4 customers. As a result there was nobody available to assist any other customers needing help finding what they were looking for. I was told to wait until they had cleared the line at the tills. Given the abruptness of this order I was not prepared to wait and so was dismissed by the assistant with a sarcastic have a nice day". John Lewis got my custom as a result."

Essence of Cake UK
Marcus Bishop Associates recently engaged Essence of Cake UK to provide us with cup cakes for our team development day. The cup cakes were superb on all fronts; taste (say no more!!), presentation and our logo. Moreover the whole process from our initial engagement of Essence of Cake UK, to the collection of the cup cakes was seamless. We have definitely found our new cake partner/provider in Tracey and Essence of Cake UK!

This shop used to be great but now it is a shadow of its former self. It’s a tip (see picture) with unopened boxes everywhere and the stock all over the place. The staff don’t know what they stock. If they do then they don’t seem to know where anything even should be, let alone where it actually is. A frustrating 20minutes going up and down the maze of stairs trying to find basic items. I won’t be going back.
