West African restaurant

The best fish, plantain and yam in South East London is served at this restaurant. There's abit of waiting for it but it's worth the wait. Service is good, the waiters are lovely. The owner is kind and welcoming.

I literally had this three weeks ago and CANNOT stop thinking about their amazing jollof rice and BBQ wings. Everything was so flavorful and I’m definitely going back here. Must try!!!

Chichi's meals are top notch. Sumptuous meal and healthy.The service is very effective and good from Chichi to all the members of staff.Chichi's restaurant is home away from home.I have never seen them frown. Oh the new chairs are cute.The atmosphere is really accommodating.Daalụ nwaanyị Ọma

I had wanted to come here for a while so I popped in yesterday afternoon. I was blown away by the food and service. It was absolutely delicious and can't wait to visit again. It really adds to the diversity of smithdown and is a welcome addition . The portions are a good size and reasonably priced. See you soon guys xx

Food is good Lamb chops, suya beef and the mac and cheese are the real stars. Jollof rice is really good, too. Would pick over chips any day. Food is a little pricey but so is most food now a days. Decent portions

AVOID! I should have read their reviews first before trying to buy from them.I love Take Outs and decided to try these out. Worst customer service ever, would talk over you and they fail to deliver your order or take responsibility for their failings or even try to re-deliver or offer a refund.Order meant to be delivered at 18:00 not delivered by 20:04. And when I followed this up with the restaurant I received the worst customer service ever. To say I was gobsmacked is an understatement.They generate a phone number that's not yours and claim they tried to get in touch on the delivery drivers arrival and your phone was turned off. What happened to knocking on the door where delivery is to be made?Anyone who knows me, will say, for me to write this must mean that, it must have been a very bad experience. Well it was and words can not even begin to express the customer service received.If I could give zero star (0) I would.

Wish i could say something good about this restaurant but every single food there is very bad. Nothing taste better here. I ordered banku,tilapia,choffi,fried yam and Jollof. Among all these food i ordered, i can say only the Jollof was a little bit okay. The banku wasn't cooked properly and it wasn't hot, my tilapia was cold straight from the fridge without heating it up,my choffi was hard and it wasn't fresh looks like it been in storage for God knows how long, and as for fried yam it was hard to chew.

Ordered fried rice with assorted meat, asun and suya. I must say whilst the delivery time was okay the food was very disappointing. Way too much pepper for a public food, the fried was below ok. The asun couldnt eat it at all plus the presentation was zero. The food wasnt really appetizing. Its not something you would look forward to. Still in my fridge may end up binning the rest. Very disappointing. I won't be ordering and i wouldnt recommend.

Guys this place is a huge disappointment. I don't know why I didn't listen to the reviews that others posted. This company doesn't have integrity AT ALL. I am so ashamed to write this review because they are my fellow compartriot. However, it has to be said....I called this place today by 3.50pm just confirm if they would be open and the owner told me they would be open by 4.30 pm. I live quite far and it took me 45 minutes to commute to the restaurant and to my unfortunate surprise, they were CLOSED. I called the same number and I kid you not...the line went straight to voicemail. I called their other line and no one answered. I am so upset and disappointed. If they were not going to open on time they should have said so...........I wish I could give them ZERO STARS.

This was my first visit to Empress Bar and Grill . The location was ideal to me .The quality of the meal prepared reminded me that true chef’s cook from the heart with love . I enjoyed Efo-Riro , Abula , chicken and beef suya . If I could describe the the food in one word I would say succulent .You could taste the savory spices and distinct flavors that was prepared in our food .The Sous Chef Vivian also manage to come front the kitchen with a warm smile to acknowledge our table . Outstanding customer service and definitely would recommend to family or friends .
