My ancient Mastiff visited today. Needs xrays to rule out the big C. I am in pieces yet the vet was brilliant as were the reception staff. Diagnostic treatment will wipe out my savings yet love my dogsavings..Today 11 11 22 My gorgeous Dog was put down, I was with her as she breathed her last. Staff were brilliant, professional and compassionate. The care that they took of my dog (and myself in grief) was on another level. Very Very grateful. Thank you people.

Unfortunately our 15 year old dog was riddled with cancer and we decided to have her put to sleep. Abbey vets could honestly not have been more compassionate. The entire experience was really very beautiful,they made sure our wee Missy was sedated and comfy,she had everything she needed and went off to sleep surrounded by love.Our vet was named Rory,he was absolutely lovely and could not have done enough for us. Usually fantastic - have a cat with a history of having a blocked bladder (potentially fatal - was confirmed as a close call by another vet later this morning)Was advised by M&H vet last time to get an emergency appointment if symptoms came up again due to risk of becoming fatal. Called again today and tried to state the nature of his condition and identical symptoms, only to be told to stop guilt tripping" for an appointment! Unbelievable and will never use Mercer and Hughes again based on the uncaring and cruel attitude of one receptionist."
