Retreat Centre

Me and my husband stayed for 3 nights. Wish we could have stayed longer! Chrissy and Andy are so enthusiastic about their ancient woodland and it was a joy to stay their. Facilities were great. Compost toilet and eco (warm!) shower! Kitchen complete with bbq. Yurt complete with lovely huge comfy bed, log burning stove to keep toasty warm and other little touches such as kettle with tea and coffee, board games, electric to charge your phone. All so well thought through. Woods are truly magical and it was such a sanctuary to be able to stay there. Can't wait to go back!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Forest Garden. Lisa and Charles have created a beautiful wild haven filled with wild flowers and trees. The cabin itself is beautifully crafted and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed lighting the candles and wood burner at night to create an intimate and cost atmosphere. My children loved exploring the grounds and the mezzanine floor in the cabin. Excellent location with lots of great day trips (Hever Castle, Wakehurst, Bluebell Wood) only a 20 minute drive away. Highly recommend! Thank you Lisa and Charles.

Absolutely wonderful! Do not hesitate to book. Stunning grounds! Breathtaking view. Fresh eggs for the kids to pick every morning and sheep all around. The Berlann tent was beautiful! Large and cozy! Everything from utensils to a heater and blankets and towels. Just perfect! The tent was very spacious for our family of 4 and the kids loved the mezzanine and nook! Rhodri was extremely accommodating and helpful. Very responsive to every question! The best host! An enjoyable hike from the site to Castle Carreg Cennen. Absolutely worth it! And highly recommend the Alpaca Sanctuary that is a 10 minute drive from the site. Such a great organisation! Would absolutely return in a heartbeat! A very special place. Lovely experience! There were a few initial issues, but guest services (Leanne - manager) were quick to respond and really understand what excellent customer service is. The room was fantastic. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious - really tasty and fresh. Restaurant manager Daniel was great, as was our waitress Suzanna. Finally, the Spa. Excellent. Really relaxing and again with great staff- thank you Tiffany! The Spa shop is well worth a visit, and the staff really went the extra mile. We will be back- a lovely place.

I’ve benefitted hugely from my treatment at Cassiobury Court. In fact I’ve had the best month of the last 2 years. The staff here are the best of the best and I will always recommend this amazing place to anyone I know who requires treatment for any known addiction. Rafa the Manager, Martin, Steve, Seth, Gerard, Oli, Jane, Alison, Rebecca, Paul & George are superb as well as Alan, Paula, Helen and Steve with the unrivalled catering. Cassiobury Court is also excellent value for money compared to other far more expensive but inferior Treatment Clinics.I’m very much looking forward to returning to Chair group meetings in the future.Many thanks to everyone. This was the most magical time of my life. I was so well looked after. The juices and soups were amazing, Jennifer's wonderful home was exceptionally welcoming and comforting. The silence gave me space to breathe, and the healing treatments were incredible. I loved every minute and would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you Jennifer and Octavia for taking such good care of us. What a treat!

We stayed in this hotel in April, 2023 for 2 nights, room 32, andcheck out with a headache due to lack of sleep.I regret that I didn't look at the reviews before we booked this hotel for 2 nights.We couldn't sleep for 2 nights due to the constant noise from outside through the old windows without any isolation/gaskets, please see the attached picture the view from window in our room.Not recommended to choose the room with a city view, they are facing very busy road and very noisy with a lot of cars and trains. We noted this to their reception, and they offered to us another room for extra £20 which was not acceptable. Also very noisy from banging doors until very late..Someone entered our room during our absence (cleaning staff I think), we didn't expect that. We noted that out beds were re-made, and our water bottles were removed, not sure why, as this hotel provides the drinking and sparkling water to the gests.Also please be aware that you needed to authorise £100 on your card at check in for damages, it is part of their terms and conditions.Our room was very small without TV but clean and warm. Continental breakfast only.However, I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends, great location, clean, etc. but please see some of the disadvantages above and book the room with garden view.

After searching high and low for a venue for a smaller intimate wedding we stumbled across Dode. I contacted Becky who was so helpful with all the information we needed and booked a visit. We visited and instantly knew this was the right place for us to get married, Paul showed us around and he was great. From booking with Becky to the day she was so helpful with any questions we had. On the day we had Graham as our host and he made the day go swimmingly so helpful and attentive we didn’t worry about a thing it was all under control. Paul did our hand fasting ceremony which everyone thought was a great extra touch. Dode is such a special place to get married we had the best time we could have wished for. An absolutely fantastic action packed retreat! Having never been to a retreat before, i was unsure what to expect, but Dave and Jay were amazing and bought the group together from day one.Every day was filled with activities! Coastering, yoga, surfing, coastal walks, beach workouts, whatever your fitness level, no one got left behind, and everyone was supported to work at the pace most suitable for themFabulous food from the duchy chef every day,in a beautiful house in Watergate Bay, finished off with a fantastic meal at the 5* Watergate Hotel. Dave and Jay catered for everyone's needs and did a great job in looking after us all and organising the activities. I've tried new things and experiences I never thought I would.. including a dip in the sea in march! I didn't want the weekend to end and I highly recommend this retreat. Thankyou for a great experience,in a perfect location.I've made new friends and happy memories, and I would not hesitate in returning to Cornwall to do this retreat again

I am just beginning to reintroduce regular mediation again and I really liked this class. Ryan was warm and welcoming and led the class with a nice balance between providing enough guidance whilst at the same time leaving plenty of space to quietly ‘be’ with your own experience and develop the practice. There was a friendly feel to the session and a nice atmosphere in the group, which I believe Ryan cultivated through his warm and personable style. The actual room itself was lovely - very light, spacious and comfortable. I’m looking forward to booking another session soon.
