Writtle University College
Helpful staff, friendly lecturers who really know their fields. Once you study there, you are eligible to a college discount on other full, part time and even day courses.I love it and really encourage others to study there. I have studied RHS Certificate level 2 and 3 and am doing a planting design course at present. I have done cross cutting and chainsaw maintenance too. I have had different lecturers and all of them have been exceptional in their teaching skills.

I have to say the business department has been a real let down and the whole situation with the course has been completely Mess and unorganised. In my first year, we were promised about the marketing suite and being able to use it more frequently to be able to do different assignments. However, the things I advertise on the open day and on the website seem to be very untrue because in the whole year that I’ve been studying this course and it’s a digital marketing program. We have not been in the digital marketing suite at all. This is a nine grand course, and how can you expect anyone to do a course without the appropriate software and being able to access designed and specified areas to be able to do production and digital marketing content. It seems very misleading from what has been said on the videos, open days and advertised on your website. It’s a real let down and I’m not at all impressed and even you can’t get any cameras because apparently it’s not a creative of course when digital marketing is.The whole business department is run really badly staff constantly leave, and it’s probably one of the worst universities that I’ve decided to go to .The support is a dismal and the whole environment is very toxic and not nice for student environment. Guild don’t do nothing and even if you speak to the teachers about these issues and problems they just don’t want to know and they don’t care .AVOID

A very bad student service, just trying to scam money from student, very bad experience of studying here. Tutors just read the slides. The school allow tutor to BRIBE, ignore student needs.

I am an applicant for the Illustration and Visual Communication course. I was at the open day today at Harrow and I fell in love with the University. The facilities and services are A-MA-ZING!!! I also had the opportunity to meet with Caroline, a lecturer on the course, and Emma Dodson, the course leader. They were very kind and friendly. I did my interview with Caroline, and I had the feeling that she really cares about the students because of the advice that she gave me.

Some enthusiastic and dedicated faculty members work in the PGCE program. Other than that, it's another corrupt, Catholic organisation that takes advantage of foreign students and then spits them back out to their home countries. The academic admin is mediocre at best and they close ranks against you if you have a concern. The student union is a puppet of the university and not an independent advocate so do not expect help there. You can do so much better.

Buckinghamshire New University
Went to Bucks for 4 years. Was really good and enjoyed it. Had really supportive tutors and overall was a great experience. However I started a MA but decided to leave due to my mental health. The uni made this incredibly hard and stressful causing more strain on my mental well-being. Constantly receiving invoices for more money when I had paid half my fees in term one and dropped out before term two started. The withdrawal team spent days before replying to drag out the process causing more stress. I was then sent an email saying if I don't pay my case will be sent to debt collectors despite me being in constantly dialogue with the university regarding my withdrawal. Uni can be very stressful but I don't think Bucks is very mindful of that. They seem to put money before their students.
