Sea Walls
The views from here are stunning over the Avon Gorge. To the left you have the Clifton Suspension Bridge. To the right views over to Shirehampton and part of Avonmouth. Lastly across the river you can see thousands of tress over by Ashton Court/ Leigh Woods. Views of the balloons rising from Ashton Court and the Balloon Fiesta held every year mid August. And some truely stunningly beautiful sunsets. Plenty of space to be had for your day on the Downs

In the absence of a usable pier, this provides a good alternative if you want to get via of the shore, the boats, and the sea.

Great day out for the family. Only pay for parking. There is an on site shop and cafe too. Toilets and even a park and activities for children. Tip don’t forget camping chairs and binoculars if you have them. Best day is Sunday to see the emirates A380 which lands around 12pm
