I bought a Yamaha YUS5 upright in 2013, and ten years on it’s still going strong, and is playing better than ever, with the tone developing nicely. The service I received at the time was fantastic, including having the showroom to myself to evaluate the pianos. The piano was set up perfectly, which probably helps to explain why I’ve had ten years of trouble-free enjoyment of an excellent instrument. Highly recommended.

I'm only rating this place a 5 because there is no option ro rate it a 6. All the trad instruments you could ever want. I.e. all the stuff you never find at music instrument stores you find at Hobgoblin. Oh and the friendliest people ever.

John and his helper moved a beautiful, old German concert piano down some pretty tricky stairs into my flat. The service couldn't have been better, the craic was second to none and the whole thing was done quickly and efficiently - guaranteed me a customer for life!

After renting a cello from another company for a while, I decided it was time to buy one to see me through the next couple of years. Originally I was going to attempt to buy online and potentially deal with a return if needed, but in the end I decided to make the 3 hour drive down.All I can say is it was more than worth it! In total I tried 8 cellos (including a few way out of my budget just to see!) all setup, tuned and arranged around a chair when I arrived so I could try them all out. Lance really knows what he is doing, and we quickly eliminated the ones I didn't get on with. Being a beginner it is sometimes intimidating to play in a store like this, but I was really made to feel comfortable, and eventually after playing the ones left for a bit longer, I managed to find the one.As sometimes happens, when I got home I wondered if I had made the right choice, so I phoned to see if I could come and try them again to make doubly sure (maybe overkill) and no problems at all. In the end I didn't need to since after playing the one I got for a few more days I realised it was definitely the right one for me.Thanks to Caswells for making it all as painless as possible, and I would definitely recommend to anyone :)

Can't fault this music shop for their handling of my online order. The easy to use website, emails regarding my order and the price of their postage & packaging shows you they aren't out to rip people off. I ordered a leather bass guitar strap for my husband and we are both really happy with the product. I was surprised to find the 1st class postage was under £2. Will most definitely be using this store again.
