Lithuanian restaurant

Was there first time. The restaurant did not leave a good impression.First things first - when you go to a restaurant you expect that everything that's on the menu is available for you to be prepared. That was not the case with Life Bar. We went there on Sunday, and none of the main dishes were available on Sundays. Then we asked for other dishes - not the main ones. Still not available because restaurant had just opened.So basically, the only hot dish we could eat was a chicken schnitzel - which was not very good for the price it had 8.50£ with some sour kraut on the side and beetroot salad. Salad was OK, but the mashed potatoes - no texture or taste, very dull.Then the waiter kept forgetting to bring us spoons, forks, knives - he just kept running back and forth for the tools.We also ordered two cups of latte at a price of 2.50 per cup. A bit too steep, but that's alright. The latte tasted more like milk with water than a proper latte though.Not a very pleasant experience I'd say.There is another restaurant just opposite the Life Bar - Lithuanian restaurant Skalsa. If I had to choose from Life bar and Skalsa, I'd choose Skalsa every time. Food is so much better there, amazing portions that leave you full and satisfied, vert good pricing, and the atmosphere is much more pleasant the Life bar's.

Absolutely loved my experience. Starting with easy find and plenty of parking. Very professional and patient staff. Amazing food choices in an unusually presented menu. Fabulous atmosphere with live music on week ends. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Great place, very authentic. A really nice beer garden, or whatever you call it, reminds me of Lido in Riga. The shashliks (grilled pork/chicken) are amazing and for 15 pounds you get a generous portion of chips, salad, pickled onions and meat. Those who miss Baltic/Russian cuisine must visit!

Came to celebrate my BD and was really disappointed!! Meat not cook properly, poor service .....not please to be Honest......big improvement is required

Disappointed with this place not planning to come back in the future. All last three times we’ve been there with a one year gaps in between we’ve been disappointed. Every time we thought they might have improved their service and food quality. Sadly nothing has changed. Once the meat was expired and stinking, the second time a waitress forgot desert until we reminded her after a long time of waiting, this time steak wasn’t fully cooked and instead of mashed potatoes I’ve got chips, not to mention that I wasn’t even able to order what I wanted: The desert I had today was nice can’t complain about it. Would definitely recommend for the staff to pay attention to what your customers are ordering and make sure that your food is still fresh and eatable.

A lovely place serving nostalgic eastern European dishes ran by friendly, down to earth people. One of my favourite spots to stop by for lunch.Great portions, authentic cuisine, unbeatable prices.
