Pick your time! I went at 05:30 and it was great - vast gym with plenty of good kit, 20-30 people quietly getting on with exercise. I also went at 18:30 and it was like the Tower of Babel: same vast gym, same good kit but impossible to get on anything - literally hundreds of people, including gangs of skinny school-age boys trying to lift stupid weights to impress their mates. I was booked in for a 19:15 spin class, but after hearing the previous instructor bragging that he was the fittest person in the class and intimidating people to push themselves too hard, I legged it...

Definitely the best spin studio I've ever been to (and I've been to quite a lot). The staff are consistently warm, kind, and professional, the studio has top notch amenities, and the spin instructors are all amazing! Ross and Soulla in particular take spin instructing to a new level - their classes go by so fast and are so enjoyable. Very grateful this studio is so close to me!

Nice big open plan gym, clean and friendly PTs in house. Lots of well attended classes. Only critical point would be far too many cardio machines. Most of the running machines are empty whist the strength and conditioning section could be bigger. Rebalance of equipment is needed.

Been visiting family and friends in E.G over last month so been regular visitors to E.G PureGym to keep off the extra food and drink calories from constant dining out. We've found the Metcon and circuits and classes in the small functional area some of the best classes We've ever attended. The gym is also kept really clean by the full time cleaner and I've been impressed with how clean the showers and toilets are after he's cleaned them. I've also seen instructors/managers using paper towels to dry the shower room floors between use.Overall a great little gym with a fantastic staff team.

Terminal decline. A certain demographic of members get really cheap rates compared to everyone else since management changed. They're the ones parking in disabled bays and sneering at every other member.Look at the other reviews. It's clear the philosophy now is to hoodwink until signed up then laugh in your face if you expect what you pay for.Shame, the previous managers worked under difficult conditions to maintain and replace equipment (swimming pool boiler/ all cardio machines).Rating a 3 because there are still some decent staff there and parking staff on match days were very professional even when faced with impatient aggression.

What an absolute dump! You definitely do get what you pay for.Theres also a blonde woman who looks like she has about ten shots of steroids a day who hogs the equipment every morning. Puts her towels on machines, and then stops anyone from using it, even when she’s on something else. Dare say anything to her and you’ll see every vein pop up on her, as I discovered! Waste of time saying anything to the staff as they’re all clearly pally with her. Absolutely disgusting gym, hostile environment and needs an update. Staff just walk around doing nothing or sit in the office downstairs.

Great little gym, but not always clean. Girls toilets look like they’ve been plastered most days, and the smell of BO hits when you walk in, always really musty and heavy. Could do with recirculating some of that! Beyond this a good crowd and enough kit to work out :)

I genuinely cannot conceive of a worse gym experience than this. For starters, the building was clearly never intended to be used for these facilities – as such, you are constantly forced to trudge up and down the three flights of stairs in desperate, misguided hope that just one item of equipment you want to use is free, with no way of knowing until you’ve already scaled the equivalent of the Pyrenees before you can get your first set in. If by some miracle you do manage to find a machine before your calves explode, you are usually quickly struck with the realisation that it either: (a) has a vital component missing, (b) there are virtually no plates available, or (c) it is simply completely non-functional, in any capacity. The maintenance team seem to value repainting the interior over improving the quality and/or quantity of the equipment (or indeed, fixing anything that has broken and replacing anything that is missing); some of the personal trainers appear to have the sole purpose of making everyone’s experience even more miserable by strutting around like they own the place, taking plates from racks that people are using without asking, and generally being aggressive and unpleasant; and of course the air conditioning works more or less exactly as you would expect – that’s right, it doesn’t.One thing I will give the staff credit for is locking off access to the top-floor balcony, as if it wasn’t for this precaution I would have certainly thrown myself off the edge and onto the pavement below by now. Though perhaps one more putrid mural with some utterly vapid mantra such as, “Unlock your Beast Mode” will be all the motivation I need to finally kick the doors down and go through with it.I’m not a superstitious man, but dragging myself to this wretched building week after week has made me reconsider the existence of a purgatory, and I truly believe the world can only begin to heal once the establishment has been shut down for good.

I have used this gym on a regular basis for the past 4 months. As a gym novice I was apprehensive to get started so I booked some personally training sessions with Max. He has created specific plan plan and makes sure I'm improving week on week. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly, I would recommend this gym to anyone

The vibes here are unmatched. Staff are really friendly, welcoming and always say “Hi” and give a wave every time you come in. They ensure that all toilets, changing rooms, equipment are kept clean and tidy. There is a wide range of equipment and the gym constantly adds more upon members input/request. I would highly recommend this gym!
