Massive thank you to Dee, Laura and Abbie at St Mary’s Hospital. After being induced on the Antenatal ward; Dee offered nothing but support and reassurance. She kept me well informed as well as empathising with me.After then being carted off to the Labour ward, from start to finish Laura was just INCREDIBLE, helping me to deliver my first baby in under 45 minutes. I cannot thank her enough for her reassurance and resilience to help me.Abbie was great when she came into the room to do baby’s obs. From start to finish, the team were absolutely incredible. A credit to the hospital.Thank you so much!!!!

Mixed reviews: UCLH - had excellent service.EGA MFAU - Bad experience, careless people. Postnatal care in ward the worst. Horrible careless lazy midwives.. especially during night shift. Extremely scary as they are so rude...!! Maybe if lucky you only get 1 midwife/nurse being nice.Hospital nice but this Antenatal, MFAU, Postnatal, Labour Ward needs heavy improvement. More experienced staff, friendly kind staff should be in those departments. Hard times for patients doesn't help during this time.

Thank you to all of the staff in the maternity unit at Leicester General who cared for my daughter (baby boy was born by CS on 23.12.20), my daughter and son in law were full of praise for the staff on duty throughout their time on the unit. to quote my son in law 'there are some seriously talented people here'. You cared for them so well and I am so grateful and thankful to you all xx

I cannot praise and thank the staff here enough. Wow, from the moment my partner came in with contractions, the midwife was brilliant (Sandy). She really put us at ease and we felt so comfortable with such a kind human looking after us. I didn't manage to catch everyone's names but everyone was fantastic - the midwifes, assistants, aneatisists. I'd also like to thank George who delivered our baby, I cannot put in to words how much gratitude we have. You were amazing and are an absolute credit to your profession. Thank you so much, even though my partner was in a lot of pain (even more so after 6 failed epidural attempts) and probably didn't seem thankful at the time, we are so glad we got to share our special moment with you. Also all of the aftercare staff on the Rowan ward were brilliant, and just topped our fantastic experience. Thank you Hull Women and Children's for bringing my son into this world.Everyone will have their own experience but ours was the best, solely because of the staff here. Thank you again!(Also, I've seen some comments about rude behaviour to non-English families. My partner shared a room with an Eastern European lady, and they treated her just the same as my partner. Like I said just our experience...)

Princess Alexandra Hospital Birthing Unit
Gave birth to my daughter on 13th August and even though my birth ended up being slightly more complicated than initially planned, all of the midwives, MCA’s and doctors were incredible. I was given the best treatment even though we were in the middle of a doctors strike. We felt so safe and looked after for the 4 days we were in the maternity unit, the Princess Alexandra and HERA midwives will always hold a special place in my heart.

We had hoped that our baby might be born at St Mary's, but circumstances meant this didn't happen. We then went to St Mary's for the aftercare for 2 nights and I can not express how good the overall experience there was. The staff were so helpful and gave us the condidence during those first few days of being new parents. We were both emotional when the time came to leave. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Gave birth here a few weeks ago. Felt very pushed into induction by a consultant I saw at Bournemouth, however she also does rounds at Poole. At first I was on the antenatal ward, and my first midwife was Emma, who was amazing. She was really supportive, discussed things clearly with me and was a better communicator than the other male consultant I then saw that day to discuss risks and benefits of my induction. I was there overnight and for two more shift changes, the next midwifes were lovely as well. When I did go into labour I had the best midwife, if anyone ever gets her for your labour you have struck gold! Thank you to Izzy for guidance, support and you're infectious energy. Once shift change over happened, we had another lovely midwife called Zoe. Also absolutely brilliant, supportive and great at her job. Both women very empathetic. My only negative in the experience was the postnatal ward, when I got on there, there was a midwife called Amanda who seemed to hate being there and didn't have a very good attitude at all. Don't know if this was a bad day for her but I felt like each time I called and she came in the room I was bothering her. Also on the night shift there was an extremely rude support worker, unfortunately don't remember her name but she was a larger lady with blonde hair.Treated me like an idiot, called me young lady" in a patronising tone and I dreaded her coming in any time I called the bell! However in the morning shift
