We had a lovely stay with a welcoming and friendly host who could not do enough for us! The rooms were comfortable, modern and clean with all facilities included. There was a great selection of food for breakfast such as, croissants, fresh fruit, crumpets, yoghurts, cereals and juices we were spoilt for choice! We would definitely return again when visiting Yorkshire.

Friendly helpful staff. Their is no lift on the premises but the staff helped us with our luggage. We weee traveling for a wedding so we had more luggage than normal. If your just visiting for the weekend and traveling light this place is the place for you. I would stay here again if ever I am in London.

The Diamond is a great place for a busy stay in York. 15 minutes easy walk one way to race course - 20 minutes easy walk to York Centre - about £5 for taxi from York Centre. Parking £7 per day right outside. Shops, buses and places to eat/pub nearby. Owners really friendly - room immaculately clean with fridge, TV, en-suite shower and loo - lovely towels. And of course, Yorkshire Tea. Would definitely come again. Thank you.

Traveler Type: Indian familyAchilty has a fabulous location close to beautiful Scottish villages, distilleries, large towns and most importantly on the start of North Coast 500. The guest house is right beside a busy road, so if you have room facing the road, then it may get a bit noisy at times. There's only one room facing the quiet and lovely backyard/jungle and we were lucky to have that one in addition to three others elsewhere. Also, rooms are decently spacious. Nearest food options are about 3-5 miles away but they are really good. Try the Khan Tandoori at Muir of Ord if you have time and inclination.Currently there's no eatery on site or in immediate vicinity. There may be one as soon as this summer. Check with the facility. The host of the place is a wonderful person and eager to help at all times.

Newly reopened under a new owner. The neighborhood is an odd mix of poor and gentrification. It was easy to get to via public transit.We enjoyed meeting Persephone and her staff. The decor is perfect.Will be back and might book a room upstairs!

The rooms are small and the bathrooms extremely tight! But that's what you get for the price, I understand... However what is really disappointing is the cleaning, the rooms are tidied up, maybe, but not professionally cleaned, we got sheets that have fresh stains, bathroom bin not changed, dust is everywhere, shampoo and these small bathroom add ons are used which supposed to be personal. When we complained, we were told, that's not a five stars hotel

Sometimes you come across a place where 5 stars doesn't seem like enough. The Townhouse was one of them. Absolutely phenomenal in every regard. David was an amazing host. Cheers from Canada

I very rarely write reviews but when the service is exceptional I feel I really have to! I stayed here at The Circle Guest House after a night out in Southampton, all very last minute. The owners were very accommodating making room for me at the last minute. I was made to feel welcome and shown my room which was above and beyond what I expected for the price I paid. It was modern, clean and comfortable - exactly what you want and at a great price. To finish off - an awesome breakfast! If you want quality accommodation but don't want to pay the earth, this place is HIGHLY recommended.
