Just started baking bread, Artisan style from Ken Forkish book Flour Water Salt Yeast. I was using the well known supermarket brand. My sister also took it up but she cares for my mum who needs gluten free. Normal gluten bread like eating cardboard, she needed flour that supermarkets don't stock and found Shipton Mill. She told me how great the bread is using their flour from the mill so I decided to give it a go. The difference is night and day, contacted the mill to ask which flour from range they do best for Artisan bread that needs 11-12% protein and advice no 1 or no 4 flour. The flours ability to form gluten stands trapping the yeasts gases gives it the rise and the sugars etc from flour with long fermentation gives it flavour. The Mills flour wins hands down over supermarket flour with huge rise and far superior taste. It's milled finer as well which makes working the wet dough the book uses a lot easier. I'll only me using Shipton Mill Flour from now on, the customer service department is always help to assist as well.Thank you Shipton Mill......

навигация привела меня в туп к перед кольцом.чтоб попасть на территорию мельницы, иои комбикормового завода,необходимо въехать на кольцо и свернуть на лево на первый съезд,пусть вас не смущает знак ограничивающий движение грузовиков. проезжаете метров сто и поворачивайте на лево и въезжайте в ворота. там два офиса ,с ориентируетесь на месте.персонал очень дружелюбный, места очень мало и много грузовиков,разгрузили быстро, и стоять не дают ,сразуже говорят уезжай. всем добра.
