Brillaint service! The installation fitters were very professional, knowledgeable and extremely friendly.

John is extremely helpful. He went out of his way to find a way of adapting my existing fire from manual to remote. He also found me a Gas Engineer to fit the part. I would highly recommend John and Hearth & Home.

Don't know if this helps but if you paid any money on your card please contact your bank. Yes it's alot of paper work but there's a good chance you can get some money back.

Sent me a broken Hearth and refused to exchange. Avoid this company. I sent pictures of it still in the original packaging but still they refuse to exchange.

Friendly service, great delivery, excellent communication and more importantly good logs. No size issues. Will leave to season outside for a week out of the bulk bag. Will be ordering again and I am glad I have found a good local supplier.

.In October 2017 I ordered a wood burning stove from The Fireplace Centre. The knocking out of the old fireplace went well as did the ordering of the stove and the slate hearth. However, Phil Shaw’s fitters from Wythall failed to get the stove pipe vertical. They were called back and did some work saying, “that is the best we can do”. They were called back a third time and this time got it straight.However, in the original fitting, they failed to fix the hearth to the slate as the instructions required, with the result that, within a year, the fire had twisted through 10°. I informed Phil in November 2108, December and again in January 2019. He then arranged an appointment for them to come and fix it. They didn’t turn up. No explanation or apology from Phil. Another appointment was arranged. They didn’t turn up. No explanation, no apology. This pattern repeated itself four more times after which I wrote to Phil in May 2019 saying that I had been advised to draw a line under my dealings with him and find somebody else to fix the stove to the hearth and send him the bill. This I did and received a cheque from the company.

Great service from start to finish. Explained what we wanted, plans were drawn up and build was completed to a high standard. Solus fire is stunning that completes the media wall. The lighting can all sync to the TV via the Philips HUE system. The photos do not do this wall justice when it's lit up in the evenings, it's transformed our lounge whilst saving space too.

Very grateful for the time Brian took to visit the house, talk through all my options and explain the process - all this makes a difference rather than just an email with a quote!Brian and his team are just amazing, really lovely people and very professional! A visit to our home by the sales person following a phone call was very informative and and a trip to their very well stocked showroom followed and a wood burner purchased.The two guys who fitted it were polite and hard working and very clean and then gave a demo once completed.We love the fire and it works great having used it a number of times since we have now moved towards winter.

We are very glad we were recommended to use Simon Turner to remove our bath and install a shower cubicle in our very small, oddly-shaped bathroom. We now have a really lovely shower cubicle and our rather large sink has been replaced with a smaller one which has given us more room. The existing tiles have been covered with really nice shower wall panels which makes the room seem more spacious and we won't have to worry about the grouting between the tiles any more! It must have been quite difficult working in such a small bathroom but they made a marvellous job of everything. The fitters placed plastic covering on the hall, stairs and landing and kept things very clean, leaving no mess whatsoever. We are extremely pleased.Jeff and Pauline, Exeter.
