Great team at the Hollins. The bar staff are brilliant! Pizzas are super tasty and the cheese board is perfect to sneak back to your room for a snack later on! Thanks for the great service.

Thank you for helping me to organise an excellent surprise long weekend birthday celebration for my partner. The hotel team was really supportive and provided unexpected complimentary perks including a room upgrade and breakfast. We will definitely come back…The location is perfect to escape from the rush of the city and plenty of opportunities to explore the history of Ashdown Forest and close to East Sussex attractions like Glyndebourne or vineyards.

This was a pit stop after taking my dog to the beach- what a disappointment.. lovely facilities- terrible food!I’ve ordered a soup which was tasteless and very powdery, came with a roll and butter in a separate dish.. I think my butter landed on the floor few times before ended on my table… lots of hair and dust on it! Disgusting! Also ordered crab pancakes- this was after Pancake Tuesday so I thought it will be all fresh.. worse pancakes I’ve ever tried- couldn’t eat it as was very tough, mixture was so tough it actually broke the pancakes when chef was trying to put filling inside… crab meat tasted vinegary, little lemon on the side spent few days in the fridge and was dry… the waiter offered a replacement dish but I wasn’t hungry anymore.. he said he won’t charge me for this dish…I left this place with massive dissatisfaction and disappointment…. what a shame!Attention to details, staff with passion and perhaps better chef is recommended!

Used the Essex Club for the swimming pool while we were staying in one of their luxury lodges. Pool and changing rooms were lovely and clean all the amenities you'll need after a workout or swim. Jacuzzi, sauna and steamroom was nice to as they have a shallow pool for the kids to play in, we could take in turns to make use of these while other one looked after the kids.

Nice facility but no WiFi availability. No wash cloths supplied.
