Antique furniture restoration service

I love this shop us usually go in to buy kids presents but had never got furniture there. Needed an extra sofa.. Bought the Swyft 01 two seater. Although the exact sofa I wanted online wasn’t there to try, the staff showed me the 01 chair and another sofa of the same dimensions so between the chair and the other sofa I got a good idea of the size and feel of it. Needed to check it was big enough to lie on! They were so courteous and helpful, had tape measures & advice and placed the order quickly for me. It arrived very quickly. Great value, happy customer!

Discussed requirements over the phone and found him to be okay but he seemed a bit too familiar with me and he over explained everything, he moaned about previous customer habits like complaining he hasn’t done the job right or the colour didn’t match etc. After eventually pricing, I sent sofa measurements in a photo with sofa and asked when I need to bring a cushion for a colour match, his response was -“I'm home most of the day today and tomorrow up until 4 or so when the dog needs walking She won't use garden, as she was rescued from the streets that's where she insists toileting ;-)Just phone me a little before hand to make sure I'm not eating or have anyone else hereI don't make appointments as such as I'm still waiting for someone to come Saturday, 9.30 last week ;-)”I said it will probably be the following day due to work commitments and could I have postcode please, he responded with-I'll give you the actual address as you phone to say you're about to set offI do that so it ensures ppl don't forget to bring first, I've had ppl just knock the door when I'm eating Sunday lunch ;-) most people wouldn't but it's happened and I'd spent 3-4 hours cooking, I wasn't going to let it go to waste lolI'm near rycroft in Walsall so you've got an idea of distanceMessaging is fine if you don't need immediate response but when you're coming please ring, them we know 100% the call has got through and answeredTomorrow's fineRegardsKarlHe then sent a photo of his dog with a quote saying This is our little bundle of from fun I can see yours nose lol.I responded with “May I have the postcode now please Karl, I will be driving so I won’t be able to take details over the phone, I’ll phone before I arrive to let you know I’m en route, as discussed, alternatively we can arrange a time.”He said “**(postcode)** that's why I said as you're about to set off as if you're already on the way there can sometimes be unforseen obstacles :-)”At this point I just felt uncomfortable and decided not to move forwards.

‘After’ & ‘Before’ pics of an old Library Table and some chairs. David did an amazing job restoring our kitchen table. He repaired and refinished the damaged and paint splattered table bringing to life the grain and lustre lost years ago. The chairs were a challenge as they were different types of wood. All restored to look harmonious. I would highly recommend Smith’s Polishing in Falkirk and will definitely bring him in on antique restoration projects in future!!

I’m absolutely delighted with the restoration of two pieces of furniture which are family heirlooms. They had been ruined by someone doing a botch job and Simon restored them to their former glory. Had a mechanical desk calendar which wasn’t in the best of state and asked Harry to have a look and he managed to work his magic and make it look perfect just how I asked for it now it’s like brand new againReally would recommend his work very skilled and talented guy
