Angler fish restaurant

Beautiful place to be ..I caught 40 plus carp numerous 20s and upper doubles and catfish ..owners can't help you enough very lovely people. Can't wait to go back ..I would live there if it was up to me

Friendly staff, amazing fish & chips! Really very good. Definitely recommend and if we are back in the area we will revisit.

Spent 5 days here weather wasn't very good but the fishing was the owners Maggie and Neil was very helpful with tips on places to try and help you with bait as well will be going back in the spring hopefully the weather will be better as its a beautiful place.

This is my local chippy and I go pretty regularly. 9 times in 10 they are excellent, quick and efficient even when I turn up at odd times, the food is good and the staff are fine. However, once in a while they do have an off day.

I have to say I had the best week fishing with my partner.Neil and Maggie are so lovely and welcoming.The lake is beautiful, extremely tidy and very well looked after.Facilities were clean and well maintained.A little slice of heaven in Wales with some beautiful big Carp and some unruly beasts!Can't wait to return as soon as soon as possible!

We've been fishing here for the last 7 years or so, nowhere near as often as I would like but we go every chance we get. The New Celtic Lakes is the best fishery around! Great owners (Neil and Maggie) who take pride in the lake! Great fishing, great location! If you enjoy catching big Carp, big Catfish and even bigger Sturgeon then this is the place to be! Prices are really good too. On site Bait and Tackle shop that also sells all the small essentials you may need during your stay, open until 5pm.Toilets and showers also available. This is a no nonsense lake, the owners work to rule, do not attend here if you're going just to have a drink with the lads, it won't be tolerated. all being said, being sensible is the goal. Great salmon and cod meals. I would recommend if your in westcliff. 5 out of 5. Food was served quickly and to a good standard.

Sorry to say but won’t be using again, I’ve been using here for the last 10 yrs or so as the food has always been good, but the service I received today from the young person behind the counter was awful, a dispute over the new boxes to put chips into which are tiny and the fact they’ve stopped doing large chips has made me never to use here again a shame as I know the owners

Found this restaurant by way of a recommendation from a member of the public in the near by car park: Shorefield Road.Good value for money, although a large coke (pint) is £4. I was told that it’s charged as two x 1/2 pint?I opted for cod and chips with mushy peas; all-in £9.95. Good value.Tartar sauce is via multiple sachets but wanted homemade. I made a mess, sorry!Cod was piping hot and the mushy peas was good but on the small portion size. Chips were warm and slightly underdone.Service was ok and had to ask for the bill four times.Otherwise a good experience and away from the hustle and bustle of nearby seafront eateries.If I had more space I would have opted for the cherry pie and iced cream which looked delicious.Food envy!

Great place to fish the owners are awesome people always willing to help you I go ever year to the lakes they have for a week at a time fish are well looked after on site shop that they don't over charge like most fisheries
