Yuanyuan Xiao
Yuanyuan Xiao is a graduate student at the University of Florida majoring in ESOL/Bilingual Education. She is a Chinese-English translator, a bilingual podcaster, and an English teacher. She taught English as a foreign language in China and translated for China-Liaocheng Foreign Expert Exchange and Cooperation Conference and Shandong Techgong Geotechnical Engineering Equipment Co., LTM. She also volunteered in elementary and adult ESL classes in the U.S. Her academic interests include bilingual education and applied linguistics. Yuanyuan is a speaker of Mandarin and English and enjoys cooking and reading.
Yunyi Deng
Yunyi Deng is a graduate student majoring in ESOL at the University of Florida. As a former English translator and TOEFL instructor (certified in TESOL), she is always concerned and curious about the educational methodologies and techniques for ELLs. Yunyi is a speaker of Mandarin and English and a Coldplay fan, and she enjoys yoga and reading.
Anna Rodell
Anna Rodell isa master’s student in the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Florida. With a specialization in Latinx Studies and education, Anna examines Spanish literacy development for heritage speakers of Spanish in Latinx communities. Her research includes the creation and administration of a Spanish literacy program with a local NGO. She is a speaker of English, Spanish, and Portuguese and enjoys salsa dancing and cuddling with her schnauzers.
