Jar - Zero Waste Shopping, Plymouth

A rare 'weigh your own' shop that do a lot of organic foods such as nuts & seeds, flour, cereals, etc they also have a small bakery section selling organic bread, pastries.Prices can be a little higher than you'd expect, but for quality & organic while being able to grab what you need is great..The shop is nestled out the way somewhat, but a must visit at least once as you maybe surprised. Staff are very welcoming and polite which makes the visit relaxing and enjoyable.

This is a fantastic store full of goods for those who want to cut down on waste and live more eco friendly lives. I fill my reusable soap dispensers and washing up liquid dispensers here to cut down on plastic waste, plus there is a great selection of pantry items such as oats, spices and nuts to fill up on as well. I hope this store is successful enough to open in a location that is more visible to the public and achieve mainstream success!

Great range of stock, not just dried food but teas, ground coffee, toiletries, children's toys, cleaning products, stationery, fresh bread, fresh plant milks, vegan cheese and the most wonderful cakes. Very helpful and friendly staff. If you've not tried zero waste shopping before, give it a go at Jar Plymouth.

Fantastic zero waste shop with all the essentials you could need and great customer service. My brother and I went here to stock up for his pre uni shop (was so close to his uni accomodation too) 100% recommend.

Delighted to find an eco-responsible store that allows you to bring your own containers for bulk food and cleaning products!

Super cute little shop! I love the variety they have in such a small space. The only thing is it’s not very friendly to my student budget.

It's ok, quite pricey, but thet have a good range of items available. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the shop is light and open and has a lovely atmosphere.The washing-up liquid is probably 8 times the price of supermarket stuff, but it's good quality and cuts through grease as easily as Fairy. Their liquid hand soaps smell great and are reasonably good value for money. Things like their pasta, fresh bread and noodles are tasty. I don't like the taste of their museli as much as supermarket brands, but I'm not sure if that's due to the recipe they use or the way it's stored.Hopefully, as zero waste becomes a society issue rather then just a side issue the price of zero waste shopping will come down.

Great weigh your own shop. Mostly organic dried goods with washing liquids for clothes, floors, dishes etc with a make your own nut butter machine...Really tasty food at the cafe upstairs too...
