We always enjoy shows at The Gwyn Hall and our latest visit was no exception. We saw Ignazio Lopez on Fri 13th Oct. It was a very funny show in this lovely venue. The staff were exceptional as usual. A special thank you to James who handled a difficult audience member very well and made our viewing experience much better for this. We are so lucky to have this first class venue in Neath and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Have been to see many tribute shows at this venue. Always enjoyed, not usually an empty seat. Great that people want to come out and see live entertainment. Cinema is excellent value, at just £4.50 any film, any time! Nothing compares to a big screen viewing with surround sound! Right in the centre of neath, with pubs and eateries nearby.

This was the first time we'd ever been to Gwyn Hall, and it was a bit of a mixed bag for us.We wanted to watch a film at the cinema, but after trying numerous times to get through to the box office by phone, we risked driving to Neath, not knowing whether there would be any seats left for the showing we wanted. While buying our tickets in the foyer, it was really hot and humid in there due to the huge glass windows, making it like a greenhouse in there. We decided not to have a coffee while waiting for the film to start as it was too stuffy indoors, and looked around the town for a bit. When we were looking through the building trying to find out where we needed to go, there were no staff to offer directions, so we just checked our ticket and followed the signage. There was a snack booth upstairs but it wasn't open. Our tickets were scanned and we made our way into the cinema room.We were glad that the aircon was on, and were surprised that we were the only ones in there to watch the film.My main disappointment was the size of the chairs. They were really narrow, about 40cm wide. I'm a plus size woman, and at no point did anyone mention to me that I might have needed to go and take a look at the seats to check I'd be able to sit comfortably. I couldn't even get my hips in between the arm rests. My husband even commented on how narrow the seats were, but he fitted ok. I had to look around to see whether there were any wider seats, or any without arm rests, and was grateful that there wasn't a packed auditorium - I'd have been really embarrassed. I noticed 2 armchairs down the front, and went to sit on one of those without telling the box office that we were moving seats as I was too annoyed and too embarrassed. We were disappointed that we had to sit right in the front row and I had nothing to support my neck on the armchair, but we managed to make it through the film ok.There was no atmosphere before the film started late. Usually there's music or adverts on the screen or something, but nothing came on until the trailers started. It was quite cool when the screen reduced down to letterbox shape when the film started. The sound was good and it covered the hum of the aircon units.I'm not sure whether we will be back, it depends whether there are wider seats in a different part of the theatre. The ticket prices are good, but that's the only draw, and the fact that you can use time credits Mondays to Thursdays.

Excellent facilities but no signage to navigate around building. Went to see Sound of Freedom, loaded up with pop corn, hot dogs and drinks. Down corridor, through various doors trying to find cinema...no staff around. However, shout out to them for screening this film where other, bigger companies have shied away from it. Sort the signage out guys and you'll get 5/5

Small intimate venue located in the centre of Neath. Great evening watching Navi, a Michael Jackson tribute impersonator. No photos allowed during the performance. Offers live music performances as well as cinema screenings.

Fantastic theatre, been to shows and the cinema and can't fault anything. Bar and food court is very reasonably priced. Staff are great. Cinema for £5 is quality considering what other places charge.

We went here to see a comedy show. The theatre was a nice size and you would have an excellent view from any seat. The seats were comfortable and not too squeezed in. We found the staff helpful and pleasant and the prices weren't too bad either. Would definitely go to another show here.
