Great place to stop off even if your just passing through.Good beers on tap and owner is friendly to chat to.There is a restaurant as well with plenty seating.Recommended! There's also a river walk at the back of the hotel if your so inclined.

Great hotel, excellent staff...a slightly weird set up in that you can't split a bill for a meal with friends, every transaction has to be done by card....and unless you have the full breakfast (which I didn't want) you can't get a coffee or continental breakfast...very strange. But overall a good place

A great find if a Hotel, rooms very clean & well appointed, very friendly & helpful staff, excellent breakfasts, great menu choices & meals were really tasty. We booked a package deal which was great value. You have to be prepared to use stairs in the Hotel as there is no lift. We look forward to staying again in the near future.

Beautiful location and views; really lovely, clean, practical and well thoughout bedrooms.Food was delicious and fresh, and the lounge for staying guests was comfortable and spacious. The staff were thoughtful and obliging, and the manager is most definitely the star of the show. He's not only has the most fabulous dry humour, he is also a mine of information. He puts tourist information to shame.Loved our two night stay, and will most certainly be back again.Only niggle is, its a cash free establishment.

We had lunch in the hotel and it was very good so booked an evening meal. To be honest, wish we hadn't, the food was really overpriced and not great quality at all. Best part was the dessert. The staff are very good but that's about it :(

Received a very warm welcome from Struan (hope I spelt that right). He made us and our dog feel very welcome, as did Gareth. Room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and quiet. Great games Room and lovely beer garden. Good riverside/wooded walk right by the hotel. Highly recomend.

We went here for some lunch as we arrived a bit early for check in. The attitude from walking in the door was disgusting the manager a unkempt/unclean grey bearded man went on about his day and how inconvenient it was to him that there was a car show and bikers in the area and they made him late for work and that it meant he would have a busy day ahead due to them being in the area we ordered some drinks and were abruptly told it was card only (we were paying with card and could have been advised a bit politer/nicer and we can read -the many signs posted on the bar) we went to restaurant and were advised to wait to be seated in the empty room the young polite girl asked us to pick a seat we chose and had a look at the menusThe menu looked good but the manager asked us to change table and after this reminded us it was card only we ordered to be told that it wasn’t available and reissued a menu we declined and we’re sitting with our drinks we were asked to leave the restaurant to the lounge or garden as we wouldn’t be eating with them (the room was empty we would have been there long )I’m glad to say we will not be back nor did we stay the night

We only went to the restaurant for a meal, so I can't comment on the rooms here. However the meal we had was excellent, with a wide range of choices on the menu. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The place was cosy and we enjoyed our meal there. I would recommend this place if you are passing.

We stayed here after a visit to the nearby Persie Gin distillery. A warm welcome with one of the best check-in experiences. We had lunch, a lovely Cullen Skink soup. Dinner was even better, a fine dining experience that wouldn't disappoint in a city centre restaurant. Comfortable rooms with very large double beds. Great service. Dog friendly: the staff always had treats for the dogs and a sausage at breakfast. There's easy access to the Cateran trail from behind the hotel, and plenty of parking.
