We can’t say enough good things about Ian, and look forward to returning to the river soon. He was very generous with his knowledge both in terms of how best to fish the river, as well as improving our much needed casting technique. He is good company, and has a great sense of humor. Not much I’d rather be doing than fishing with Ian on that beautiful stretch of water!

I have fished Altyre for many seasons. It is an outstanding beat in the right conditions and a joy even when the fish are stubborn. The scenery, the fish and the atmosphere are spectacular. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time with Ian, and also learnt a lot as well. He was ever present, willing to provide guidance, advice and equipment whenever the need arose.The river is incredibly varied and beautiful, a joy to fish. We both managed to land fish as well - what’s not to like?

My wife and I spent a lovely 3 days at Bradbush this September.We fished the Findhorn River with Ian for a couple of days.What a great experience!!!Ian certainly knows his way around these waters. Great conversations, expert advice and a friendly atmosphere just added to the pleasure of the trip.Hopefully, we'll get the chance to return soon.

Upper Home beat on the river Findhorn was an amazing experience and cant wait to return next year! Some of the access down to the pools, whilst very well provisioned with steps, ropes etc, is fairly physical so would definitely recommend getting fit beforehand!

Ian was my guide and host for a few days in June. His attention to detail is only surpassed by his kindness. We, of course, had a great time fishing, but Ian also took care of arranging our accommodations and our tour of the Benromach distillery. Ian picked us up at the Inverness airport, made all the arrangements during our stay, and took us back to the airport for our departure. He recommended the Knockomie Inn for our lodgings, and we couldn't be happier with his choice. The accommodations, the food, and the staff at Knockomie were wonderful. Our trip to Scotland, and my first fishing trip to Scotland, was everything we could have hoped it would be because of the fantastic arrangements Ian made for us. When I return to fish Scotland again, I will send one email to Ian and know that everything will be perfectly handled. Ian is such a wonderful guide and I enjoyed myself so much in his company that I now consider him a friend. Because he is so accommodating, knowledgeable, and attentive, I can guarantee anyone who hires his services will be more than pleased. I am already making plans to return to Scotland to see Ian and, of course, to go fishing and share a (not so) wee dram with him. Thank you for everything Ian!

Fantastic beat one of the very best on the Findhorn. Spectacular scenery and a great chance to catch a salmon from the beginning to the end of the season. Ian Neale manages the fishing, he is able to offer expert advice and guidance to fishers of all levels. If you haven't fished it then its one for your bucket list !
