We had a voucher to come first class to this Cinema. We arrive at the cinema and you had no food available despite it being advertised. We are massively disappointed and asked for our movie to be rescheduled to a time that then had food you advertised available. The extremely rude man at the desk said he will not give us an exchange and we just loose the voucher amount.Absolutely ridiculous. It’s a 4.30pm showing and you have no food available and no movement on our booking.Won’t be back the place is a joke.

My first time at any cinema in over 30 years. Like the comfy seats in 1st Class. Good value as well as our tickets, bought in advance, we're £10 each including fees.

A piece of history and a timeless classic. I have been coming to this cinema since I was a child and it is a rare gem in today's hectic world. This place makes you feel like you have stepped into an art deco classic and it just oozes elegance and perfection. From the exceptional staff, the atmosphere, the excellent drinks & snacks (who doesn't love snacks) they make go above and beyond to make you feel part of their family run business and give an experience not just a trip to the cinema. This is the must go cinema of Edinburgh and if you don't go you are not only not supporting a local business/community but you are missing out. A special mention to Charlie and Hamish who always go above and beyond and thank you for taking the time to engage with the guests and also looking after my mum and remembering her when she was coming alone. Cannot wait for the VIP membership to return!

Exceptionally cosy and enjoyable cinema experience.Booths are private, and reclining chairs are lovely.Table service is excellent, and staff are so friendly and welcoming.Screen is a good size, and the sound system is great - it could be a little louder, but that is personal preference.Will be going again soon!

The Dominion is such a special place. Came to see Wes Anderson's new film (which turned out to be wonderful too), comfortable, great service always with a smile. It's my favourite cinema, always. Perfect.

It's cinema, Jim, but not as we know it. An amazing place — the architecture! the decor! the reclining leather sofas! alcohol... and it's served in glasses! — and if that isn't enough, the staff are cheery and welcoming — personality goes a long way. If it were closer, I wouldn't ever go to any other cinema.

An art deco cinema which opened in 1937. The cinema had multiple screens which have sumptuous seating, some of which recline. Tables are provided at the sides of seats for drinks and snacks. For evening shows you can order drinks from the bar to complement your experience.The cinema is lovingly cared for by a small team, and there are several comfortable lounges where you can wait for your film to start, and have a drink at the same time.

Last minute decision to catch a film, so glad I went, the film was alright but the cinema experience was great! Comfy massive reclining seats, with auto lift foot rest, friendly staff, and lots of interesting photos of celebs who have visited!
