The Village Bistro
This bistro is wonderful! It has the most delicious sweet treats and the scones were delicious. We had the scones and chocolate mint slice with Earl Grey tea and coffee on our first visit. The second visit, because we liked the place so much, we had a berry smoothie, tea, toast with butter and raspberry jam, and a tablet ( fudge). Everyone was super friendly and made us feel at home.Also, pet friendly!

Brother and I popped for for breakfast. Such a lovely warm welcome. Food was excellent as was the service. The chef was off so Jackie stepped in and made me a bespoke scrambled egg with melted cheese. Delish. Will be back

My parents regularly visit and took us for lunch on our visit to Edinburgh. We had our dog who was warmly greeted with treats and a bowl of water. Really friendly staff and delicious food - didn’t sample the cakes but look lovely! We would recommend and look forward to returning. Thank you

Absolutely fab breakfast. So tasty. Staff so friendly. Jackie even held my daughter’s baby so she could eat in peace!! Def worth a visit.

Really great place. Paula and Joyce were absolutely lovely. Vegan breakfast was delicious. Vegan and GF cakes available. Highly recommend!

The Village Bistro
The moment my partner and I walked into the bistro, we were immediately welcomed by Paula in such a way that we felt right at home. She and the staff were all so lovely and happy to have a chat, like we were all old friends.The coffee and food was excellent, (home made haggis and black pudding were amazing!). I'd absolutely recommend stopping by to anyone who's in the area. We'll be back as soon as we can!

We arrived for breakfast as this place had 4.9 stars. We ordered a Scottish breakfast for over £12 each….. Please see the photo for how it arrived. I hadn’t even touched it just cut open a sausage to ensure it was cooked. Beans came out 5 minutes later and no toast as per menu. The place itself had a horrible smell, the cushions were stained, the kitchen area was a mess! WOW. Even the service was awful - it wasn’t even that busy. Totally baffled as to how this place has 4.9 stars on google!! go somewhere else, please.
