Stayed here for one night and very satisfied. The room was large, comfy and clean. The staff were amazing, was greeted by Chris who couldn't do enough to help. He was very polite and professional, providing an iron hairdryer and extra towels upon request. The rooms were so warm too. I recently stayed at a hotel in Cheltenham where the Central heating was 18 degrees and controlled by reception; at this travelodge the heating was managed in the room which made such a difference. There is a huge car park and a Toby Carvery in the grounds - easy access to M4. The staff I met, Chris and Dawn made such a lasting impression, I would definitely book to stay here again.

I booked here as it was cheaper than other well known chain hotels. I thought it may have been not as nice because I'd booked on the cheap, but I was nicely surprised! Plenty of parking on arrival. I was seen to straight away by Josh at the front desk, who was very helpful. Our room was spotless and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and I got a good night sleep, which is something special for me!! I needed a hairdryer in the morning and asked at the desk if they provide them, where I was promptly given one. I cannot fault this Travelodge and would definitely use again if staying in the area.

Staff helpful, nice building and rooms. However, beds and (foam) pillows too firm for me. Also a farm (or similar) on neighbouring land at back meant many loud yelping dogs all night! Not a great sleep unfortunately.

What a lovely little hotel. The staff are all great and cannot do enough for you.It's about as quiet as a hotel can be - there's no accounting for how noisy other guests will be - but there are nice touches like soft close doors and signs up reminding guests to be quiet and considerate.There's a Toby carvery next door and the hotel are happy for you to take food back to the hotel if need be. Top tip: go on the Too Good to Go app where you can get a breakfast bag in the morning or a carvery from 9.15pm for about £2-£3.When I visit my family in Barry, I will definitely be staying here again.

What a great place to stay. We stayed three days and we're delighted. Chris welcomed us at reception and was excellent, very professional and friendly. He was able to answer any questions and made us feel at home. In fact, all the staff, Chris, Dawn, Josh and Natalie was all outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and modern. The bathroom was large and everything was immaculately clean and functional. The hotel was quiet and we slept well. The location was very good for us with easy access to Cardiff and Barry. The price was extremely reasonable and as a result we didn't expect too much however this hotel warrants a far higher rating than it has. We've stayed in far more expensive places which weren't a patch on this Travelodge. A big thank you to all the staff for making it a very pleasant and memorable stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Stayed 1 night here on the ground floor and the room faced to the rear. Despite having the window open there was little external noise throughout the night. A shame that can’t be said for within the hotel as I was repeatedly woken up from midnight to 4am by people moving about.The room was not as dark or the bed as comfortable as the previous Premiere Inn. There was no hair dryer in the room and no electric sockets anywhere near the bed. So you couldn’t have the phone near you whilst charging overnight. There were no USB phone charging points anywhere in the room. The shower and toilet area were spotlessly clean.
