I had major issues ordering and receiving my new car costing me time and almost a grand. But I let that slide at the time, mistakes happen. On the first service I had the car returned, dirty, inside and out with parts of plastic trim on my passenger seat, again, mistakes happen and I didn’t complain. Thankfully, I have not had to deal with this branch for some time.A while back I was phoned to book into Volvo for my first MOT and a service, I booked it in for today with a home collection. 0845-1100hrs was the collection time. I was phoned at 1100hrs by Volvo Cardiff and asked why I did not drop it off? I explained the situation above and told “Well that’s not what I have on my system”. The gent said he would look into it and call back. I was then called by the original person some time later and asked to re-book a collection almost a month away.I had to take a day off work for this, costing money and time. I will have to do the same for the next. Again and again, I understand mistakes happen. But what I don’t understand is that every time something like this happens (which is every time) it’s just a flippant “well yeah, that’s bad, our bad, oh well”.Today I had enough, I hated to do it but I had to phone to complain. I can take a couple of mistakes, but it’s every time and it’s costing me money and time whenever I have to deal with them. I did the cringy “can I speak to whoever is in charge”, however they was busy. I was asked if I wanted to leave them a message, so I explained the above and was basically chinned off.I know past tense nothing much can be done, but with the attitude today it seems nothing will change in the future either.Volvo make some nice cars and apparently are a premium brand. But from the buying, maintaining and customer service I have received from the Volvo Cardiff branch it is far from it. As I now have a completely wasted day off I thought I would write this in the hope it will save someone else. If you are buying/leasing one, I would definitely use another branch. Although it may be further away, in the long run it will save so much time, money and headaches.UPDATE:I'm not sure who is replying to this review, but I doubt it is anyone dealing with the issue, as nothing is resolved".The car was finally picked up for MOT and service. Dealer said they would give full valet and washed due to the ongoing issues.Car was returned serviced and MOT'd. However

My family and I have had a thoroughly fab experience at the Mon Motors Volvo garage in Cardiff. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. It is never easy to choose a second hand Volvo and we had visited numerous Volvo garages before deciding on Mon Motors as we found Daniel and AJ to be very competent, trustworthy and genuinely helpful. Their after-sales customer care services are also excellent as a few weeks after we bought the car, they were still looking after us. I am rating the service I received very highly and would like to thank everyone at Mon Motors Volvo for all your help. Also your patience with my son countless trips to your pantry area for treats. Thank you!

Good to start. Then after a 6 month wait I’m told the factory order car has been sent with the wrong engine. I called back two days later for an update to be told there’s no replacement car and if I don’t want the one that’s been delivered I will lose the loyalty discounts that were given in January at order. I feel this was pressure to get me to take the car I didn’t want. I would say to avoid just like the rest of the Mon Motors group

We recently had a service and MOT on our volvo. As usual the inspection was very thorough and the workmanship very good. However... We were told the car was ready so set off to collect the car and still had to wait another 20 minutes for the car (almost an hour since the initial notification). Also one of the advertised features of the volvo service is a renewal of the volvo app but when we phoned to query we were told this isn't part of the service. We've emailed also and no response. It's not a huge cost but we expected it as it was advertised and we had it previously with volvo services. Disappointed in the customer service : (following taken from the mon motors website) You’ll receive 12 months’ subscription to our mobile app, giving you handy remote access to your car – for control of temperature, security and much more, from wherever you are.Volvo Cars app renewed subscription applicable to vehicles fitted with Volvo On Call and less than 12 months active subscription.Edit: despite the response to my review, no one contacted me.

Not a good experience. I took my Polestar here with a fault and was told that they couldn't look at it until the 11th August. The service department also wondered out loud to me if they even worked on Polestar. I would have given them 1 star but they did find the time to look at it that week. I just found the whole experience a bit difficult like when I phoned them and was told that I needed to speak to Laura but then I found that she was off work. Just a lot of little things that let them down.
