Rowena Mowers

My husband and I purchased a new mower from Rowena Mowers. The service was excellent. All questions and alternatives were fully answered, with patience and a smile. The shop is immaculate. An excellent experience.

Excellent experience coming here. The gentleman was very knowledgeable about each lawn mower. Made my decission very easy on which lawn mower to buy. Pleased with my purchase. Will be back.

Very dissatisfied, took my mower in earlier this year , was told it was ready for collection, when I went to pick it up , was told it was not running, paid to have a new carburettor fitted, I have never been happy with the way the mower has run . It has never ran smoothly since I had it back , it has always “ hunted “ has always taken at least 15 primes to get it started, I have now paid someone else to sort it out properly, the fuel line was badly corroded , the carb had been messed about with too , the carburettor float needle was incorrectly installed.As I can not leave a reply , I will add to my post , surely if you had run the mower after repairing it , you would have seen that it was not running right , I am leaving a review on my personal experience , I can not vouch for other people . The corroded fuel pipe should have been noticed when the carb was changed .

Went in to buy some chainsaw trousers, very helpful & even got to try them on before I bought them. Will definitely be going back.

I had a very good impression of Rowena tool hire when I visited them to look at Honda brushcutters. I was finding it difficult to decide what to buy and was patiently shown the machines and given the information and time I needed to make the right decision. I'm very pleased with the machine I purchased from them and glad that I went to them for it and not the Internet.

Phoned today with an enquiry about a pressure washer repair. Once I mentioned the make, there was clearly no interest in the work. When I asked if they knew anyone who could help me, no" was the reply. No attempt to advise me or give further useful information. I would have understood if they had said that the repairs would have been difficult or not worth it

I have used this shop several times before and they have been excellent. Yesterday, however, my husband and I visited to purchase a new head for our petrol strimmer and had quite a different experience. The only person available to help us was an older man who was talking to another customer. Fair enough. However, it became evident that he was just chatting to the other person, which he did for 10 minutes or so. Fair enough if he'd just acknowledged our presence and told us he'd be with us in a minute, but he didn't. Finally he asked if he could help and we explained what we wanted. We showed him a photo of our strimmer and he said they didn't deal with that make. We pointed out we'd bought it there a few years previously and he said no we hadn't - they had never dealt with that make. Never mind we said, will a different head fit our machine? He didn't know he said. We asked how much a new head would be and he (seemingly reluctantly) went to the till to find out. As no help or information at all was forthcoming from him, we asked how we could resolve this situation, should we bring the strimmer in? Yes, he said, that would probably be best. His manner was disinterested and supercilious throughout, but the final insult was when I asked until what time the shop was open. He waved airily at the clock (showing 1.55pm) laughed, and said 2 o'clock. We walked out. I will NEVER shop there again. I have since looked at their website which says they are open until 5pm on a Saturday, so either the information on the website is incorrect, or he was misleading us. Either way, they now have one very dissatisfied ex customer.

What a lovely experience! Popped in for some alkalate fuel, very helpful and friendly. Went to pay and spotted a photo of a cat on the computer desktop background, so we had a really nice chat about our respective felines as well. Really brightened what could have been a very mundane purr-chase <^-.-^>Sorry, couldn't resist the pun ;-)
